Snapdeal has made a household name when it comes to online shopping. It is not only about the convenience it offers, but also about the 100% refund guarantee upon unsatisfaction.

Snapdeal has a ‘no questions asked’ refund policy. If you are unsatisfied with a product, you will get 100% refund. Snapdeal launched the fastest refund scheme in 2015, where the money would get refunded within 60 minutes through IMPS.

How to get a refund from Snapdeal?

Placing a request for return/ cancellation

  1. If you cancel the order before it is shipped, you will get an immediate refund. The refund will be initiated in 6 days if you cancel after the shipment. 
  2. If you decide to return an order after receiving it, make a note of the defect or any other issue you found with the product. Do not use the product.
  3. Initiate a return request through the Snapdeal mobile app or website. Go to ‘My orders’ and click on the return/replace option. 
  4. Keep the item packed with original tags. A Snapdeal executive will pick it up from the given address within 2 business days.
  5. You can also ship the item yourself. Snapdeal will the refund courier charges incurred by you as well.

Refund procedure of Snapdeal

  • Make sure your bank account/ card details are correct and up to date.
  • After Snapdeal receives the item, a team will do a quality check of the product within 2 days and initiate the refund.
  • For prepaid orders (credit/debit cards or net banking), the refund will be made immediately. 
  • For cash on delivery orders, the refund will be transferred via NEFT in 2 hours. The Snapdeal team will follow up with you for your bank details. Banks usually take 7-10 business days to reflect the refund.
  • You can also choose to take the refund in the form of Snapdeal cash. You will receive it within 60 minutes.
  • Payments made through e-gift cards or e-vouchers will be refunded as the same.

Snapdeal will send regular email & SMS updates so you can keep a track of your refund. Also, the Snapdeal app & website offer users to track the status of refund through ‘Track Refund’ option.

After you receive the refund, check whether the courier charges and/or repair charges, if any, have been refunded or not. If not, upload the supporting bill and send it to Snapdeal. You will receive an NEFT payment against the same.

Points to note while making a refund request-

  • Items should be unused, clean and intact.
  • Return the item with original packing, and all other accompanying freebies intact.
  • If an item has a lock, disable it before returning.
  • The item’s brand’s refund guidelines will be followed if they are different.
  • You will get a refund instead of replacement if the desired item is out of stock.

Snapdeal can ask you to verify your identity before initiating the refund. However, Snapdeal never asks you to share any password or OTP. Beware of fraudsters.

When can you return a product to Snapdeal?

  • Received a defective or faulty product
  • Physically damaged product
  • You are unhappy with the quality of the product
  • Product is not the same as shown or described on the website
  • Product was of the wrong size/ did not fit

Snapdeal products which you can’t return

Generally, items that cannot be resold are not eligible for return or replacement. No refund is offered for such items.

  • Fine jewellery*
  • Edible food items including pet food, Ayurveda & organic products
  • Vehicles & automobile accessories
  • Customized items
  • Furniture
  • Online movies, music, games, books, educational products, software
  • Nutrition, supplements, medicines
  • Insurance & warranty
  • Books

*Electronics can be returned if found faulty or defective.

*If a gold item is eligible for a return, you may get your money back.
